According to the National Kitchen & Bath Association 2026 Kitchen Trends Report, 86% of designers say that earthy shades such as greens will dominate kitchens in 2026. Backsplash trends confirm this overall kitchen color trend, with nature-inspired greens and warm earth tones taking the spotlight.
"Shades of green such as avocado, sage, and forest green are perfect for a chic biophilic touch," says Lindsay Fluckiger, host of Tile Trends x Tile Club. For an organic feel, Fluckiger suggests earth tones and warm shades of caramel, gold, and brown. "Pairing green and warm neutrals creates a combo that is calming and serene, but also energizing," she says.
