BATTLE ON THE BEACH
Season 1

SEE THE REMODEL!

About the episode
For HGTV's newest competition show about vacation beach rentals, Ty Pennington turned to Tile Club to find the perfect combination of long-lasting, low-maintenance, and stylish tiles! When it came to creating coastal bathrooms that could withstand showering off a long day at the beach, tracking in sand, and vacation tenants coming and going, he found the perfect fit with Tile Club's zellige-style ceramic tiles for the walls, and marble pattern porcelain tile floors! The unique handcrafted look of the Mallorca subway tiles for the bathtub surround and walk-in shower enclosure added a natural compliment to the beachy boho style of these beautiful bathrooms, accented with a driftwood vanity countertop and vintage Moroccan wood doors. For high-performance bathroom floors that can take all the traffic and cleaning of a short-term rental, he chose Tile Club's Emporio Calacatta Marble Porcelain tile. These marble pattern porcelain slabs are slip-resistant and non-porous, meaning they are perfect for a wetroom environment and heavy traffic!

About the design
We were overjoyed when House of Jade designer Kirsten Krason chose Tile Club for her basement bathroom remodel! To help create a light and airy atmosphere in her downstairs basement bathroom, she chose La Riviera Blanc zellige ceramic subway tiles for the vanity backsplash and the shower walls. The glossy glazed surface of these white tiles helps reflect and bounce natural light, making a dark bathroom feel more open and cozy. She used them for a beautifully designed shower niche with white marble shelves. The same Thassos white marble tiles were cut into squares and paired with Carrara marble field tiles to create a checkerboard floor pattern! The gray and white marble patterned floor was a fun touch to balance out the botanicanl print wallpaper hung well out of reach of the sink!

About the episode
David Bromstad and Tiffany Brooks embraced color for this stunning kitchen redesign! Trending green cabinet paint and open shelving transformed the space filled with natural light and gorgeous views of the creek. They created a statement backsplash with counter-to-ceiling tile in Tile Club's Recycled Glass Herringbone Mosaic In Calacatta Marble Color. These mesh-backed mosaic sheets made it easy for them to install the intricate herringbone design!
Upstairs, they redesigned the master bathroom suite for a 'tuxedo' black and white combination. David Bromstad chose Tile Club's Mallorca black ceramic subway tiles for the shower and vanity backsplash, pairing them with brass fixtures for a luxurious finish. To offset the glossy black tiles, the celebrity designers chose Tile Club's wood look Spiga Olson porcelain for the floors and walls, adding a white oak chevron design that is water-resistant and perfect for a wetroom wall and floor treatment!
