Pearly Dark Blue Squares Glass Pool Tile

Hello! I am an interior designer with Unhinged Studio and we are designing a bar. Would this tile work as a countertop material, or would the glass be too fragile (say if a bar tender slammed a shaker bottle down onto it)? We have also designed the countertop to curve at a corner and am curious if cutting the tile like that would cause it to chip? Thanks so much!

This is a durable glass tile approved for even high-traffic commercial flooring installations. It can be used as a countertop in a busy bar, especially with a strong backer board, properly applied grout, and regularly applied sealant. The mosaic design can accommodate a slight curve - we recommend starting at the curved edge and laying the sheets in the preferred configuration to avoid cutting too closely, then grouting and sealing the cut lines. 

One thing to note - this is a paper face-mounted tile, meaning it does not come with mesh on the back, but with a brown paper covering on the front. This is actually great for the attachment of your bar top tiles, as the lack of mesh between the adhesive and the back of the tile provides the firmest grip for a strong installation. Please be aware that when you receive the tiles, the non-covered part with ridges is actually the back of the tile and will be installed face down, then the paper can be easily removed with a damp sponge once the adhesive sets.
