My backsplash is exactly 12”. Will 1 tile cover top to bottom?
The product is measured from the furthest tip to tip to receive the 12" x 12" measurement - since the sheet itself is not a full square (please see the 3rd slide for the full sheet), it will not cover that width fully. We always recommend ordering 10-15% overage to allow for cuts/coverage during installation. This tile is made of slate pieces on mesh backing, so you can trim pieces off and then cut to fit with a wet saw fitted with a blade suitable for cutting stone tiles. This is the best way to get the most accurate coverage.
Did you apply a color enhancer to the stone in your pictures? The sample I got was just grays with a little bit of tan but nowhere near the color in your photos
This tile is a slate stone that has a naturally high level of variance. Different lots will showcase different colors that naturally occur in the stone - you can request Lot Photos and we will show you what is currently available to ship as we understand that samples are a small section of the material and will not show all of the colors available.
In the pictures, I see a lot of rust color which I love. In the sample I got, it was just plain blue slate. For those that installed in, do you have the variety of rust color in your install as you see in the online pictures or is it more grays and blues as listed in the product description? Thank you for your help.
This slate tile has a very high level of variation as it is a natural stone - we recommend requesting current lot photos to see what lot of material we currently have ready to ship. That is the best way to gauge how full sheets of the tile look in our current lot.
