The glazed finish on these white ceramic subway tiles creates a pearlescent shine that is unique to each piece. Each tile has an individual surface texture that creates the look of a handcrafted design and an artisan finish in your home! These white glazed tiles are sold by the box, covering 5.38 square feet per carton. All Mallorca tiles feature a pearl glazed finish. These pressed ceramic tiles feature intentional surface texture variation that give them a handmade look.

Installation & Application

Our zellige-style ceramic tiles should be used on indoor walls ony. They can be installed on a kitchen backsplash behind the stove, bathroom or shower wall, fireplace surround, or other indoor accent features. Tile Club Recommends a 3/16” grout joint for these pressed ceramic tiles.

Why the Mixed Finish is Intentional

In the world of mass-produced, "perfect" tiles, spaces can often feel flat and clinical. The Mallorca series rejects that. By intentionally mixing satin-matte and lustrous-gloss finishes, we achieve:
• Lustrous Depth: When light hits your wall, the varying finishes react differently. Some tiles catch the sun with a bright glint, while others absorb it, creating a "shimmer" effect that mimics sunlight hitting water.

• The "Handcrafted" Feel: The slight variations in sheen give each tile the soul of a handcrafted piece, suggesting it was shaped and glazed by an artisan rather than a machine.

• Visual Movement: This interplay prevents the "flat wall" effect. It adds texture and dimension that keeps the eye moving, making even a small backsplash feel like a focal point.

We recommend wet cutting or the score and snap method during the installation process. Improper installation techniques could expose installer to inhalation of harmful silica dust. Do not dry cut product using power tools during the installation process. Using dry cutting methods could present a risk of acute lung injury.
