SlimTile is a revolutionary new DIY wall cladding offered by Tile Club! Our Roseville Polished Marble SlimTile is a click and connect Stone Plastic Composite tile that measures 11.81" x 23.62" with a thickness of 0.20".

The infused stone layer makes this waterproof wall covering ideal for shower walls. These lightweight and budget-friendly tiles have a tongue and groove connection, eliminating the need for grout and reducing the need to scrub grimy joints in your shower.

Not all tiles are made for every space, here's a quick guide showing where this tile shines and where it's best avoided.

Slimtile Installation Step by Step

Step 1 - Prepare your Space and Tools

Before you Start!

Acclimatize your Slimtile panels in the room where they will be installed for a minimum of 48 hours.

Make sure they rest at least 20 inches away from the walls during this time. The ideal temperature is under 70 degrees F while they acclimatize.

Required Installation Materials -

Slimtile panels
Tape measure
Pencil
Level
Utility knife or other cutting tool
Loctite PL Premium Adhesive (recommended)
Optional: silicone sealant for joints in wet or humid areas (e.g., shower)

Prepare your space!

You can install these panels directly over existing tile or painted drywalls. Make sure the installation area is clean, dry, and level before prepping for installation. If installing over tiles in a wet area, such as a shower, use silicone sealant over the joints.

Step 2 - How to Measure and Cut Slimtiles

Measuring -

Double check the measurements of the wall area you will be covering with Slimtiles. You should account for 10% overage for cuts.

Cutting -

Cut or saw your panels to the desired size. Use a fine utility knife or another cutting tool. You may need to score over a cut several times with a utility knife.

Check your fit before applying your adhesive.

Step 3 - Install Slimtile Panels

Place the first row -

If desired, first place a profile. Start at the bottom of the wall and work from right to left. Apply adhesive to the back of the panel or directly onto the surface in vertical zigzag stripes. You can also nail or staple Slimtiles in place. Press the panel firmly against the wall to secure it and make sure it is level.

Connect the next row -

Use the tongue-and-groove connection to easily join panels together.

If installing in a wet or humid area such as a shower, apply silicone in the groove between each panel.

Usage recommendations are for general application and material durability characteristics only. A shower floor or other wet area indicator does not mean that the product has been tested to, or meets, any specified wet DCOF value.

Slip resistance depends on numerous factors, including the material and finish, grout joints, installation, slope and drainage, contaminants, footwear, maintenance, wear, and any applied sealer or coating.

DCOF results, when provided, are laboratory measurements and do not guarantee that the surface will be slip resistant or prevent slipping. Polished surfaces may be unsuitable for wet floor applications. Except as expressly stated in current written technical data,Tile Club makes no representation or warranty regarding wet area slip performance or project specific code compliance.

Tile Club provides no warranties, either express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability orfitness for a particular commercial or residential purpose. The purchaser's exclusive remedy is strictly limited to thereplacement of physical material or a refund of the original purchase price for defective tiles that have not been installed, altered, or modified in any manner.

We recommend wet cutting or the score and snap method during the installation process. Improper installation techniques could expose installer to inhalation of harmful silica dust. Do not dry cut product using power tools during the installation process. Using dry cutting methods could present a risk of acute lung injury.
