Ask a Question
  • We have installed the Crema Marfil w/light Emperador line Dark Emperador Dot as kitchen backsplash using Tec Accucolor Plus sterling #909 performance grout. how do we seal this?

Beautiful choice! We recommend sealing this marble mosaic with this Stonetech sealant - it's a penetrating sealant so it will fill in the porous stone and grout to help prevent water absorption or staining without affecting the color of either material.

You typically want to reapply every 6 - 12 months - you can test when it is ready for reapplication by flicking water at the tile and grout lines. If the water beads on the surface, you can wait to apply, but if it sinks in, it's time to reapply. For best results, use this marble-friendly stone cleaner to help maintain and clean the surface after cooking and to extend the life of your sealant.
